The series of practical apple tree pruning tutorials continues with a look at the use of the pruning saw. You can use cheaper models (the Sandvik is OK) but for 3 years now we have only used the Silky Fox brand saws, specifically the Gomtaro Apple Ringo 300mm. This has a very thin blade and graduated tooth size which gives an exceptionally clean cut.
